I haven't written a resume in 20 years. Is that a problem?
No. That's who Keen is for. You talk about your work the way you'd tell a friend, and the resume gets written in today's language.
I'm not great with computers. Can I still do this?
Yes. You tap a few things, then you talk. Keen asks one question at a time and your resume fills in on the screen. You can stop any time and pick up where you left off, and a family member is welcome to sit with you.
What if I don't remember the exact dates?
Most people don't. Keen helps you work them out ("Was that before you moved?"), and anything you can't pin down is marked on your screen so you can fill it in later.
What do I get at the end?
Your resume as a Word file and a PDF, a references sheet, and your answer to "Tell me about yourself," written from what you said. When we send you a job, a short cover note for it comes along.
Do you find part-time or work-from-home jobs?
Yes. You tell us what you want: full-time, part-time, from home, close to home, with health insurance. The jobs we send follow that.
What does it cost?
Free for our first 50 people. No card, nothing to cancel, and job updates are included. After that, Keen costs $79 once, and you'll always see your finished resume before you pay.
Should I hide my age on a resume?
You don't lie, and you don't have to advertise. Graduation years can come off, and the last 10 to 15 years get the detail.
